Welcome to the American Dream Family
American Dream Dive Charters is built around a simple belief: every diver who steps aboard should feel known, supported and excited to come back.
Josh and Annie first met while working aboard the American Dream. They fell in love with the boat, the diving and the community that had grown around it.
When the opportunity came to purchase the business, they chose to protect what made it special while carrying its legacy into the future.
That means remembering returning divers, helping visiting guests feel at home and delivering the same professional care whether it is your first trip with us or your fiftieth.

Meet Josh & Annie
Their story began aboard the American Dream—and the boat eventually became the foundation of their life together.
Josh and Annie met while working aboard the boat, first becoming part of the crew and then part of the family that had grown around American Dream Dive Charters.
When they purchased the business, they were not simply buying a dive boat. They were accepting responsibility for a community, a reputation and a South Florida diving tradition.
Today, they are continuing that legacy with the same welcoming culture, professional service and passion for diving that made the American Dream special from the beginning.
The Kind of Dive Crew You Remember
Divers return for the reefs and wrecks—but they remember the people, service and feeling of being welcomed aboard.
“Great dive charter! The groups are small and service is wonderful. Dove with ADDC 3 days in a row in January with Katie (DM) and Adam (captain). First dives were wrecks, my favorite being the Hog Fish, followed by relaxing drift dives. Katie not only gave thorough briefings and but also provided some great suggestions on how to fill my afternoons while my husband was at a conference. Will definitely dive with them again if we get to return to Ft. Lauderdale.”
“Day 2 with American Dream was a 2-tank dream! Captain Adam at the helm again, with Katie (…call her Katie #2) as dive master. Sizable group but not crowded—they don’t fill to absolute capacity so everybody has room to breathe. A thorough briefing preceded each dive. The boat itself was clean & well-organized, with three hot showers available and an ice chest stocked with cold beverages. I was traveling light, so in addition to tanks, I needed rental gear: everything was in great condition, and all costs were quite reasonable.”
“World-class, top of the line operation from start to finish. I cannot recommend this dive charter more! It’s so nice to emerge from a >1 hour drift dive and have the boat right there waiting for you, with a crew full of smiling faces (shout out to Katy and Adam). The boat is spacious, impeccably maintained and organized, and small details engineered by Captain Todd make it a 5-star experience. I’m referencing the air tank bungees + wood contraptions, specifically. Staff is friendly, relaxed, helpful, hard-working, and knowledgeable. Divemaster/Instructor Ori who was my dive buddy is incredible, both in and out of the water. If you’re around the Miami/Fort Lauderdale area, book with this charter! The dive sites in the area are fascinating, the price is extremely reasonable, and the experience is luxurious. I will 100% be back.”
